Boot Camp Prayer and the Art of war by Jonathan Ferguson is an amazing book. The Holy Spirit breathed on these pages. I COULD NOT put this book down. This book won't just engage you in your fellowship time with The Lord, but you will also learn how to have longevity while praying as well as strategy. You will definitely be equipped to pray heaven on earth and how to properly engage in warfare against demonic forces that try to hinder your manifestation of God's promises. This book is not one to just read quickly. I repeat you must read each chapter in it's entirety to gain the proper revelation and understanding. Become An EFFECTIVE Believer!

Many people claim to be "Christians", "followers of Christ", and/or "disciples", but many do not know what this means. On that same note, many people go through the process of becoming a believer, but do not know what to do once they become a believer in Jesus Christ. In turn, this produces powerless, childish (in it's purest sense), light-weight (in the spirit), impotent, weak, "woe it's me", ineffectual Christians who's growth is impeded.

Leaders, if you want to reproduce powerful, childlike, heavy-weight, potent, strong and effectual believers who's growth thrives, I suggest you take heed what’s in this book, “Boot Camp Prayer & The Art of War!” On that same note, if you are a new believer or a seasoned believer, I suggest you take heed to what’s in this book as well.

Prophet Johnathan Ferguson is a jewel in the body of Christ. This book has brought me to a new revelation of prayer and warfare. I was the type that if you said intercession, I was ready to go in full force, but what this book did was to give me another look at ALLLLL the ways to prayer by being more strategic and wise. Old saying, There are more than one way to skin a fish! This book will bring you to a greater place of the importance of waiting in prayer, how God responds to our prayers, being wise when entering spiritual warfare. It's filled with great examples and power packed with biblical scripture to back this book up! This is my third book by Prophet Ferguson and they all have blessed me and confirmed a lot. A must-read for survival enthusiasts

Just finished reading this book and i'm overall impressed!
This book teaches an approach to obtain meat as an alternative to killing animals. I consider this topic as practical niche knowledge you will hardly find in any other book. Tamarack feeds himself and his family since 40 years of non-hunted prey. His experience and practical hunter-gatherer knowledge is what you will find in this book. He explains how to find dead animals, examine the cause of death, how to assess the carcass and how to process each part of it for safe consumption and preserving. Moreover he gives fair warnings when evidence show possible risks.
What i like most of it is that he uncovers long-believed, but wrong folk wisdom. Who believes that smoking preserves meat or that you can live solely on protein will change his mind after reading this! Another big part of this book is how to preserve meat, assess and render fat and how to process pemmican. In doing so, he explains various methods and provides important details in order to succeed.
I recommend this book to any survivalist as it provides essential and practical knowledge which might safe your life.

Concise so you don't have to butcher butchering.

The first time I butchered a roadkill deer, it was truly butchering in the worst sense of the word. I had some old books to go by, but no one had reminded me to follow my intuition, to let the blade flow and to find simpler understandings about how to use the meat in a way that simplified the cutting process.
Every step of that process, from eying up roadkill, to skinning, to cutting, and to cooking or preserving the meat is filled with bits of information and reminders to listen to intuition. Over the years, you pick a lot of that up, but thanks to Tamarack you can read this and really jump ahead in that process.
This is a small book, but that's also it's beauty. When the time comes and you're assessing the situation, you'll certainly be happy that this is so concise. And if you think the subject matter doesn't apply to you, just remember, that electricity won't be on forever. No harm in being prepared.

This guy knows what he's talking about. I have other books on this subject but this well written book gives the little tips you only get from someone who has really been there done that not some rehash of something someone else wrote and sold to you just for profit.

She is the recipient of the Whiting Award, is a former Hodder Fellow, and has been commissioned by Yale Rep, Center Theatre Group, Playwrights Horizons, and the Royal Court. She is currently developing a pilot for HBO. As an actor, she has appeared in the films The Visitor, Mother of George, 3 Backyards, and the television show Treme, among others. She currently plays Michonne on AMC's The Walking Dead. She is the co-founder of Almasi Collaborative Arts, which works to give access and opportunity to the African Dramatic Artist. Danai was born in the US and raised in Zimbabwe by Zimbabwean parents. She holds an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU.

An effective play that works well on the page

This Tony-nominated play very effectively illustrates a society in total war through the rarely seen lens of women -- those resigned to their fate, using it to their advantage, or becoming warriors themselves. Gurira writes in Liberian patois, which makes the reading experience closer to the theater experience than many scripts on the page.

Beautifully written play

I first read about this play due to the casting of Lupita Nyong'o on off-Broadway. I had wanted to see it when I was in NYC but missed it. It's now on Broadway and I envy anyone who gets to hear the beautiful words of actress/playwright Danai Gurira.

Gurira pulls off a rare feat - shedding light on a VERY important issue (the continued rape of women during war and the trauma that these women suffer at the hands of everyone involved) without ever being didactic, obvious or heavy-handed. Her use of multiple characters to represent the varying degrees of how these women are affected is classic storytelling. Her characters are all multi-dimensional (and heartbreaking). You will grow to not only love the women, but yearn to protect them. Gurira obviously cares about this issue and she has done her part in giving these women a voice. Now we have all collectively have to do ours to stop the rape of women during war.

Decent novel but there are better out there

Decent read. Nothing new. I read this months ago & it's not sticking out to me as a novel I just adored about Anne Boleyn. If you're like me & you've read everything else about her ... Go for it!

An Enjoyable Novel

Overall, I enjoyed this novel. It is the story of Anne Boleyn told in a "bare bones" kind of way - just the main events. The author does not delve much into the background events of Anne's tragic story. I did note some rather obvious language issues, such as the characters using modern slang (such as "okay") that was not in use 500 years ago. I would recommend this book to readers who are not very familiar with Anne's story.

Fantastic Book! A Must Read!

I have followed author Charlie Fenton’s process of writing her novel over several months, being kept updated on her facebook page of her progress. She has spoken about her writing process and the amount of research that she had undertaken to accurately portray Anne Boleyn’s life. When her book was finally released I immediately got a copy and can honestly say that I was not at all disappointed. From the moment I picked up Fenton’s book I could not put it down.

Fenton has written an extremely captivating book about the life of Anne Boleyn, from the time that she first laid eyes upon Henry VIII to the moment of her execution. Her book is well written, focusing on the important moments in Anne’s life rather than getting bogged down by insignificant details. I have read several fictional novels over the years and some of them are extremely draining as they take too much time discussing and describing details of clothing, appearance, settings etc. rather on the important moments and discussions between characters. While details can be good to much of them can distract from the story line and I felt that Fenton got a perfect balance of story and details. Fenton’s book strays away from excessive detail description and focuses on the most important moments in Anne’s life, providing the reader with a wonderful insight into various events that helped to shape Anne’s life and history.

As I was reading I felt more and more drawn to Anne Boleyn and I felt that Fenton truly captured the very essence of Anne. She portrayed the heart and soul of Anne Boleyn, what made her tick, her spirit, her fire that drove her forward. She described the growing love between Henry VIII and Anne rather than portraying Anne as a vindictive seductress who wanted nothing more than to steal the King away from his first wife and become Queen. Instead of this inaccurate description of Anne Fenton shows a woman who fell in love with a man and a man who fell in love with a woman. She describes beautifully their growing relationship as it blossomed into a deep and passionate love. She then details the ups and downs of Henry and Anne’s marriage how one moment the pair were riding so high and how slowly this all seemed to crumble away. Fenton captured perfectly the desperation, the anger and the fear that Anne Boleyn must have felt as her relationship with Henry slowly disintegrated. Her portrayal of Anne Boleyn was extremely moving and I felt myself being swept away with these emotions, sometimes laughing and other times finding tears upon my cheeks.

In addition to being well written Fenton’s book is extremely well researched. I had the honour of following Fenton’s progress of writing and reading about the various sources and materials that she used to research deeper into the events and people that she was writing about. Where possible, Fenton used first hand sources to accurately describe the events and happenings during Anne’s life. A perfect example of this is Jane Parker, Lady Rochford, the wife of George Boleyn, Anne’s brother. Jane has often been portrayed in movies, television shows and various fictional novels as a vindictive, cold, calculating woman who gave evidence against her husband when George Boleyn was arrested for treason and incest. In fact the truth is very different. Accurate first hand sources detail that Anne Boleyn and Jane had a close relationship, Jane at one point risking her position at court to help her sister in law. There is nothing negative or destructive about Gorge and Jane’s relationship, neither is there any evidence to show that Jane testified against her husband. Fenton portrays Jane as a loving wife and a friend of Anne who genuinely cared about her sister in law and wanted to help her. Fenton has done a great deal of research and this is evident in the characters and events that are not only accurate but also have a great deal of depth.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will say with great confidence that this is one of the best fictional novels about Anne Boleyn’s life that I have ever read. At the end I was brought to tears, left sitting speechless as I stared at her book overwhelmed with how well it was written and how beautifully and accurately Anne Boleyn was portrayed. As I said previously I felt that Fenton truly captured the real spirit of Anne Boleyn and did this remarkable woman true justice in her book. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in Anne Boleyn or wishing to read a moving, well written book about an amazing woman.

Short and Sweet = MEMORABLE

What a perfect little tome for professionals at all levels. Even the most jaded executive or middle manager will benefit from the reminders of things that yes, we all know, but have ceased to pay attention to over time.

The size and scope of "The Power of Professional Presence" is perfect. I read it on a short plane ride. I highlighted pages and committed them to memory. Any more can be overwhelming when you've got a lot on your mind. Coach Stef feeds us her wisdom in small, easily digested servings.

My team of support staff at Princeton University asked how I manage it all. I shared the book with them, and they responded by taking the book to heart as well. Small adjustments in appearance, presentation, scheduling and the quality of their work have made our team more productive and well-respected.

Ideal preparation for interviews, business meetings and social gatherings

Stefanie Smith's new book, The Power of Professional Presence, puts me in mind of a line from T.S.Eliot: "There will be time, there will be time, to prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet." While people have always commented that I appear confident and articulate, I have found that the book still helps me "prepare a face" whenever I have an important interview, business meeting or social gathering.

The most recent of Stefanie's guides to making--and maintaining--a powerful impression on other people, The Power of Professional Presence presents several of her signature "Focus Games" exercises. These exercises have sharpened my thinking about how to describe who I am and what I do, and have enabled me to communicate my message more concisely than ever before. Based on her 20 years' experience as an executive coach to high-achieving professionals, Stefanie's book walks you through a brief but enlightening process that boosts confidence and makes you better prepared for any situation in which leaving a distinct and memorable impression on others can yield tangible benefits.

Here's a case in point: I'm a legal recruiter and run my own boutique recruiting firm--so, I am my own brand. Last weekend I attended the 20-year reunion of my Harvard Law School class. The hour I spent reviewing my "Working Pitch" paid off every time I delivered it crisply to classmates I hadn't seen in years, and those I'd never met before. What a great feeling to be able to walk up to anyone, knowing what my opening line would be, completely secure that the talking points I prepared would be the points by which I would be remembered. In short, the book helps me create and control my "message." I review it before every important meeting or gathering.

I recommend The Power of Professional Presence to anyone who wishes to make a stronger impression, no matter how confident they may be in their interpersonal skills already. Written in a breezy style that makes its important points a pleasure to read, the book is quick to digest and simple to put into practice.
